Leeds Public School is an award winning K-12 school with a total enrollment of around 125 students. A preschool program for 4 year olds is offered 5 days a week for half days. Having 18 full time teachers and a number of support staff, a low student to teacher ratio enhances every child's learning experience. The school is always on the cutting edge of technology and uses innovative teaching methods to support student's needs.
A $1 million dollar renovation was completed in 2013 that replaced all the windows, remodeled the exterior of the building, replaced the heating system and added air conditioning, and remodeled all the bathrooms. In 2020, a project was completed to update the roofing of the entire building. Partnering with the city, EDC, and other community organizations, the administration is taking a progressive approach to planning for the future to ensure the school remains a vital part of our community.
